Crows Nest is one of six new stations for the Sydney Metro ‘City & Southwest’, which extends new metro rail from Chatswood, under Sydney Harbour, through the Sydney CBD to Bankstown.

Technical Summary
Working closely with AW Edwards, SCI manufactured the concrete elements to suit site-delivery dates and project requirements for the three basement levels and the street level.
The uniquely shaped platform units are an example of SCI’s versatility for the manufacture of moulding systems to suit special precast elements.
The large box beams of varying widths and heights utilised several specially built production facilities. In-house temperature modelling of the 1500×1300 beams ensured curing temperatures remained within their specified limits.
